Terms of Service

These terms govern your account on this site and your use of the services offered through it. Please read them before you create an account — you are asked to agree to them when you register.

Version 2026-08-14

The short version.

These terms say who you are dealing with, what you can do here, what each of us owes the other and how a disagreement is settled. If anything in them is unclear, ask us before you agree to it.

1. Who these terms are between

These terms are an agreement between you (the person using this site) and the operator of this site ("we", "us"). They apply from the moment you create an account and for as long as you have one.

Who we are

This site is operated by the company identified in the footer of this site, registered in the country where it is incorporated. Its company number is available on request, and its registered office is at 123 Instant Booking Lane, Suite 300, San Francisco, CA 94105. When we arrange a booking we act as agent for the person you book, and the confirmation says so.

2. Agreeing to these terms

When you register you are asked to confirm that you agree to these terms. We record the moment you agreed and the version of this document you agreed to, so that both of us can tell later exactly what was accepted. The version is shown at the top of this page.

If we change these terms, we publish the updated document with a new version. Continuing to use your account after a change means the current version applies to you.

3. Who can open an account

To open an account you must:

  • be old enough to enter into a binding contract where you live, and in any case at least 18;
  • be acting for yourself and not on behalf of somebody else without telling us;
  • give information that is accurate and keep it up to date; and
  • not be barred from using services of this kind under any law that applies to you.
Where we operate

We arrange bookings anywhere the people we represent can lawfully work, except in a country under international sanctions. There are no other conditions: if you can sign a contract, you can book.

4. Your account and your credentials

You choose a password when you register. We never store it in a readable form — it is hashed before it is saved, and it cannot be recovered or read back by anyone, including us. If you forget it you reset it; we cannot tell you what it was.

You are responsible for keeping your password and any second factor to yourself, and for everything done through your account. Tell us straight away if you think somebody else has access to it. Where this site offers email verification or two-factor authentication, we may require you to complete them before parts of your account become available.

5. How you may use this site

You agree not to:

  • use the site for anything unlawful, or to disguise the origin of money;
  • give false information, or use somebody else's identity or payment details;
  • open more than one account without our agreement;
  • interfere with the site, attempt to gain access to parts of it you have not been given, or extract data from it by automated means; or
  • resell or redistribute access to the site or its contents.

6. Suspending or closing an account

We may suspend or close an account where we reasonably believe these terms have been broken, where we are required to by law, or where required information has not been provided. Where we do, we will tell you at the address on your account unless we are prevented from doing so. You may close your account at any time; closing it does not by itself cancel obligations either of us already has.

7. Identity checks

Where this site asks you to verify your identity, you agree to provide the documents requested and confirm they are genuine and yours. We may restrict what your account can do until verification is complete.

Identity checks

Before we take a deposit on a booking we ask the person signing for it for a photo identity document, so the people we represent know who they are working for. We check it ourselves and keep it only as long as the booking needs it. If you would rather not provide one, tell us — for a company booking, its registration details usually do the same job.

8. What this site offers

What you can do here

You can book the people on our roster — performers, speakers and hosts — for a private or public event. A booking starts as a request; a real person comes back with a real figure, and nothing is charged until you have seen it and said yes. The confirmation sets out the fee, the deposit, what is included and what is not, and when the balance is due. If the person you booked cannot appear, the deposit is refunded in full or moved to another date — your choice.

9. Availability

We aim to keep the site available but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. Access may be unavailable during maintenance, or because of failures outside our control. We may change, add or withdraw features.

10. Content and ownership

The site, its design and its contents belong to us or to the people we license them from, and you may use them only to use your account. Anything you upload remains yours; you give us permission to store and process it so we can operate your account.

11. Liability

Our liability

Nothing in these terms limits a liability that the law does not allow to be limited, such as for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence. Beyond that, we are responsible for loss that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to take reasonable care, and not for loss nobody could have foreseen, for lost business or profit, or for events outside our reasonable control. If the person you booked cannot appear for a reason outside anyone's control, what we owe you is the return of what you paid for that booking.

12. Governing law and disputes

Disputes

These terms are governed by the law of the country where we are incorporated, and its courts can hear a dispute about them — though if you are a consumer you keep the protection of the law where you live, and can bring a claim there. Before it reaches a court, tell us: we acknowledge a complaint within one working day, give you a final answer within fifteen working days, and if we cannot settle it between us, that answer names the independent body that can look at it next.

13. Contacting us

Write to us

Write to support@instantbooking.live about anything in these terms, or by post to 123 Instant Booking Lane, Suite 300, San Francisco, CA 94105. A person reads every message, usually the same day; if your event is this week, say so in the first line.
